Sunplugged has developed a multilayer structure of electrically insulating oxides which are deposited on a commercially availablle stainless-steel strip.
Flexible insulating substrates are typically polymers that have limited stability under harsh processing conditions, such as high temperatures and vacuums. Sunplugged´s Hybrate foils provide electrical insulation at high processing temperatures The electrically-insulating coating is stable in atmospheric and high vacuum environments and can withstand temperatures above 600°C.
